If the device has been offline for an extended period and is not updating after clicking on promoting for update, then updates can be installed manually using a USB pen drive. Retailers must download the required patch files, transfer them to a pen drive, and connect the pen drive to the device while it is off. Now, switch on the device. The device will update automatically upon reboot.

Patch file for 3.1 is available after this 3.2 and 3.21 will update through online server

Procedure for Updating VisionTek PoS FMS App

• Download the software files and take the files in empty USB pen drive
• USB Pen drive should not contain any other folder or files
• Ensure that files name should as downloaded
  1. rootfs_update.sh
  2. rootfs_patch.tar.bz
• Pendrive capacity must be 8GB or less than 8GB

1. Connect the USB pendrive to VisionTek PoS while PoS device is in OFF condition.
2. After connecting pendrive, switch ON the PoS device.
3. Leave the device idle for few minutes. Software will be updated automatically through pendrive during this period. Automatic shutdown message will be displayed on screen and device gets OFF
4. Now, remove the pendrive and switch ON the PoS device.
5. Keep the device ON and connect to internet for 30-45min and then login.
